The Beauty of Colorado This is the ad for this Friday’s opening exhibit at the Independence Gallery in Loveland Colorado. Twenty LAPC members went to Rocky Mountain National Park last September on our first photography roadtrip out of Eastern Iowa. If you have any friends in Colorado, please let them know about this exhibit of beautiful images from your fellow LAPC members.
I have been asked to see if any LAPC member is willing to help tutor a new member of LAPC who recently purchased a Canon 7D. The only time she has free is during the day from 9 until 2pm. If you feel you can help her, please drop me an email and I will forward her request directly to you. Thanks!
The last day to sign up for the Canon’s Explorers of Light seminar with the lunch option is Monday March 19th. We will order a few extra that can be purchased during the seminar, however, the extra lunches went quickly last year.
You may still sign up for the seminar without the lunch option until Friday March 23rd. We hope to see all of you there.
PSA Newsletter - Winter 2012 From PSA, the latest newsletter about and for camera clubs.
Due to ongoing construction at Wickiup, some parking spaces are available, and the 2nd classroom (Classroom B) is not available to LAPC this weekend. We will meet in Classroom A for the meeting and for the monthly contest. Your 2012 $25 annual membership dues are due. Both discounts from our sponsors and the option to complete in the monthly contests (Feb=Green) require that your dues be current.
The Quad Cities Camera Club is looking for experienced photographers who have judging credentials. If you are or if know anyone, please have them contact me ASAP.
Thanks,
Bob Lancaster
Good afternoon everyone!
It’s been a while…I trust you are all doing well. I purchased a used 400 mm fixed prime, 2.8 IS lens for Canon online that is just too much of a beast for me to handle (6.4 x 13.7″, 11.8 lbs). I am going to put it on Ebay, but thought I would offer it to you all first. It is a great lens, clean, nothing wrong with it that I can tell. It comes with a lens cover and case (The keys are missing to the case. But trust me, this thing would be very difficult to steal out of the case!
)
I am attaching some photos I took of it and with it. Image1 Image2 Image3
My goodness, you can see details of each feather! I am asking $5900. Let me know if you want to see it.
Have a great day!
