There are a FEW at #14, 8-12 seen at a time. Backwaters are starting to ice over. We need the REAL cold weather to get into the 60-70 at a time sightings. Calumet Photo out of Chicago has two buses coming down Saturday bringing 84 photographers. So I would kinda stay clear Saturday. Sunday looks cooler and clearer. So I guess it depends on how bad you want to drive and blow a tank of gas……Mike Stark

The Iowa River project - any images that people want to share of the corridor to include the Amanas, Marengo, Belle Plaine, Chelsea, Tama, Toledo and the Mesquakie Settlement are in their request. The sponsor is the Iowa Valley Resource, Conservation and Development office located in Main Amana next to the woolen mill. Peter Hoehnle, historian for the Amanas, is collecting this. His request is that things be presented digitally on a CD for archiving.
I will contact St. Pat’s about how to include an evening session for those members of LAPC who are interested in his project photographing the area around St. Pat’s after the flood. Details to follow.
Thanks again to the good people who donated film cameras to the cause of b/w printmaking. Your collective generosity is appreciated. The best way to thank you is to create opportunity for young people.
