As a part of the 2017 Linn Area Photo Club Photographers Workshop we have added a Day 2 Workshop on Sunday, April 30th.

Join award-winning photographer Tyler Stableford for a small group (14 people), hands-on workshop.    We have lined up a couple of local farmers (and farms), who have agreed to participate in in a fine-art portraiture shoot of “Iowa Farmers at Work”.   Tyler will walk us through all the steps that he goes through on a location shoot to “compose” an image.    You will learn about lighting, background, camera settings, posing, metering, etc.   You will have an opportunity to take some images alongside Tyler as he coaches the group through all his steps.   These farms will also have some interesting still-life photo opportunities, and depending upon weather, some actual field-work images as these farmers may be in their fields preparing them for planting.    Should the weather not cooperate, as it is spring in Iowa, these farmers haves some large barns and we will move indoors for our photo ops.

Be sure to bring your tripod and flash along with your camera, as we will begin the day in the morning with potential low-light conditions or indoors if mother-nature does not cooperate.    The workshop will start at 8:00 am and end at 3:o0 pm.      The cost is $100 (non-refundable).   A very small cost you will be able to work side-by-side with an award-winning pro.    Bring your lunch, as we will work through the time frame.
When the morning photo shoot is done, you will have a chance at a nearby location to watch Tyler utilize some of the skills he taught on Day 1 to process a few of these new award-winning images.
