My name is Lynne Melssen and I am the new events coordinator at Reiman
Gardens in Ames, IA.  Since I love photography, I thought I’d make you aware
of an event happening on Saturday and Sunday, February 13 and 14, 2010.

The Reiman Gardens Orchid Fest will give Iowa photographers great
opportunities to capture images of some of the world’s most exotic and
beautiful plants.  Plant vendors from three states will be selling orchids,
there will be an orchid display provided by members of the Central Iowa
Orchid Society and if you want to branch out a bit, visit our conservatory
and our butterfly wing to photograph even more greenery and hundreds of
butterflies, in 80 degree comfort!

The Orchid Fest takes place on Saturday, February 13th from 10 – 4:30 and on
Sunday, February 14th from 11 – 4:30.  Admission to this event is the normal
admission price for Reiman Gardens – $7.00 for adults, $6.00 for seniors and
$3.00 for youth.  Iowa State University students get in for free, by showing
their university ID.
