Flash!  The Summit Photo Show Deadline is Approaching

If you're planning to attend the McAllen Summit, you're invited to apply to the popular Summit Photo Show. Be one of 10-15 members to show ten images to an audience of photographers, editors and photo buyers. All of nature is fair game for your photographic theme of Connection, the theme of our 12th Annual Summit Photo Show. So choose a favorite subject and give us your original interpretation of Connection in nature. Unveil the unexpected or tell your unique story behind a distinctive shooting situation. Each selected photographer will have 3½ minutes to show ten images and relate the story behind them.

Summit Photo Show applications are now being accepted, but the deadline is January 10, so hurry tohttps://www.nanpa.org/conferences/Summit2011/photoshow/ for all the details. See video samplesof previous presenters online.

Keynote Speaker – Michele Westmorland

Melanesia — Islands of Diversity

Only one place in the world has a diversity so rich that it has drawn keynote speaker Michele Westmorland back 24 times. This diver's paradise is Melanesia, a subregion of Oceania that encompasses the stunning tropical islands of New Guinea, Vanuatu and the Solomons, among others. With camera in hand, she keeps returning to capture the beauty of the abundant marine life as well as the traditional island cultures that are sustained by it.

Escape the winter and come to the tropics via Michele and McAllen this March. Michele has gained international recognition with her underwater photography. Much of her imagery has appeared in national and international publications.
