Join photographer LAPC VP Bob Lancaster on a winter photography walk through the snow at Wickiup Hill Recreation Center. We'll head out after the LAPC January club meeting on Sunday 1/11. A chilly day outside is an opportunity for great winter photos. With a bit of imagination and warm clothes, there is no reason your photography has to hibernate for the winter. Snow covering a forest, creek or prairie is a beautiful thing to capture. Everything looks different than it normally would, allowing you to see nature in a different way. Don’t worry about snow appearing grey or dull, learn to trick your camera’s light meter into thinking the scene is brighter than it really is. During the walk, Bob will help you adjust your camera to get beautiful images. No special camera equipment is needed. About Bob Lancaster: Bob is a photographer, an IT business owner and a former high school science teacher. This unusual combination has allowed him to better understand what it takes to photograph the natural environment. Bob travels annually to our national parks to photograph their annual wildflower displays. Bob continues to generously donate his time and expertise to benefit class participants and Wickiup Hill Learning Center.
As with most of our club shoots, this shoot is free to attend for all current LAPC members.
