Living History Farms Photography Day

From Charley Starnes

Attached 2014-Photography-Day-Flyer.pdf is a copy of the flyer for the 9th Annual Living History Farms Photography Day.  The event is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 20th.  This is definitely the largest event of its kind in the Midwest.  We had 900 photographers attend last year’s event.  Since I have barely finished up with the Iowa State Fair, I am still trying to finish up the list of classes for this year.  They should be posted online the weekend before the event.  If people do plan to attend, I highly recommend pre-paying online.  The doors will open at least 15 minutes early for people who pre-pay.  The deadline for pre-paying online is at noon on Thursday, Sept. 18th.  Hy-Vee needs a headcount so that they will know how many box lunches to prepare.  People can also pay their gate admission on the morning of the event.  There is a small café on the farm for people who don’t pre-pay early.  There are also a number of fast food places within a 5 minute drive.  Here is the link for the event:

I have also attached a copy TAM-Christian_FLAT.pdf of the Tamron seminar that is being held in Des Moines on the night before the event.  Since I am helping Tamron to promote their event, they have agreed to pay your Photography Day admission fee for you if you attend their event on Friday night.  Definitely do NOT wait too long to sign up for the Tamron event if you are interested.  Enrollment is limited to the first 30 people who sign up.  Here is their link:
