Educational Theme: Two Common Camera Myths
Myth 1: If you don't spend $5000 (or more) on camera equipment, your images won't be as good as those people who do.
Photo Pro will set up one of our portable studios ahead of time. They will take a few pictures of the same thing…. same light, same focal length, same ISO, same aperture, same Raw image, same everything. Only difference is the price of the equipment.
Setup 1 – Used moderate priced camera and lens…. i.e: used Canon Rebel with a used Tamron/Sigma lens
Setup 2 – Middle of the road camera and lens…. i.e: used Canon 40/50D with a mid level Canon lens
Setup 3 – High end camera and high end lens…. i.e: used Canon 5D Mark III with $1000+ IS lens
PhotoPro will show the pictures that are taken by all three setups on the screen and see if you can tell the difference between the three setups. In addition, Photo Pro will bring in a few very good low end setups to show people (new/used) that you can buy from them.
Myth 2: One printer shop (Walmart/Target/Walgreens/PhotoPro/etc.) is as good as all the others. Why spend the money at the high end print shops and use different papers…. they are all pretty much the same.
We will take one good photo and we will print it at Costco, Target, Walgreens and Photo Pro. All same size. All glossy prints. Paper will vary slightly by print shop, can't control that. All the same image with same adjustments.
In addition, Photo Pro will do several prints of the same photo on a variety of papers…. Glossy, Matte, Metallic, etc. to show that not only where it is printed makes a difference so does what paper its printed on.
