My background is in graphic design but I fell into photography and have loved it ever since. My expertise is Photoshop and anything after the capture of an image. My passion is educating photographers how to create high quality images in less time so you can make more money.
I am currently a Photography Instructor in the Hawkeye Community College Photography Program. I represent the new Digital Technician tract that began in 2012. For 13 years before Hawkeye, I was the Lead Digital Technician for Read Photography in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Marketing, web design, workflow, and graphic design were all part of my responsibilities during my time at Read’s.
Course Description: Photoshop Design Elements
This class will show you how to create elements for your designs inside Photoshop. We will also explore best practices for template creation as well as vector tools and layers. You will not only learn how to create graphics but how to make them easy to change for advertising pieces later. You will also learn about optimum image sizing for your graphics projects. During this class, you will design and create templates you can go back to your studio and use right away so bring your laptop!

The Linn Area Photo Club was established in November 2003 in order to bring together individuals in the greater Linn County, Iowa area who are interested in acquiring and developing an appreciation of the art and techniques of photography.
